This treatment product a 12% l-ascorbic acid/ 2% Salicylic acid/ antimicrobial ethanolic/ water system designed to be used in an evening treatment to aid in the reduction of acne pimples. While infection is often associated with an acne attack, present research is indicating many acne eruptions are an auto inflammatory reaction. Acne Shield has been formulated to treat the inflammatory reaction with the counter-irritant l-ascorbic acid and the prostaglandin E1 inhibitor Ursolic acid.
Although this system is powerful it applies with little or no irritation and may be used both in the evening and morning during the initial treatment period. After the eruptions have decreased the product can be used daily or weekly to aid in preventing new eruptions.
